Using geographic data has become “a must” in today’s BI applications. In this presentation we will look at some examples of spatial analysis that can be developed using Oracle BI. And we’ll look at these basically from scratch, starting with simple table containing spatial information, and we will end up with visually rich interactive maps incorporated into Oracle BI dashboards.

Žiga Vaupot, author
Žiga Vaupot works in IT for more than 20 years and has been involved with Oracle software and solutions for most of this professional career. In the last 4 years he has been primarily focused on business intelligence solutions implementations. He has worked on projects in Slovenia and abroad. Among others, Žiga worked on implementation of business analytics system project in oil and gas industry and business reporting for major British retailer. Beside standard reporting and analysis solutions, his main interest is in data vizualization, scorecard based solutions, mobile apps and advanced analytics.Žiga holds masters degree of Faculty of Economic, University of Ljubljana, and bachelors degree from Faculty of computer sciences and informatics, University of Ljubljana. Žiga is also Certified Businesss Intelligence Foundation Suite 11g Implementation Specialist.
